Middle School Faculty Positions

Part-Time Middle School Learning Specialist

Highland School Learning Support department seeks a part-time Learning Specialist to directly support faculty and students in grades 5-8. Specific responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans for small group remediation; implementing classroom and testing accommodations; proctoring small group assessments; advocating for students with learning differences as well as teaching executive functioning skills.

Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and experience working with students with learning differences. A strong grasp of middle school content and scaffolding of curriculum is preferred.  Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to Liz Gordon at lgordon@highlandschool.org.
Middle School Language Arts Teacher

The Middle School (MS) Language Arts teacher reports to the Middle School Director and works collaboratively with other teachers in the Middle School. The Middle School places a strong emphasis on habits of learning, which include growth mindset, personal responsibility, communication, and organization. The current Language Arts curriculum fosters student growth as readers, writers, and thinkers. 
 
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree, teaching experience, and a love for working with young adolescents at this critical juncture in their education journeys.
