Highland's Parents Association

    • .

For more than fifty years, the Highland Parent Association (PA) has invited our parents to help support our faculty, staff and student body throughout the academic year. We work to enhance parent-to-parent and school-to-parent communication and foster school spirit. We help fulfill a broad range of volunteer opportunities. We act as room parents, help out at Admissions open houses and plan special “thank-you's" for our faculty and staff. We also help the Advancement Office organize the Highland auction and assist with other grade-specific and division-specific events throughout the school year. These events include orientations, class socials, holiday decorating and so much more.
Thanks to the generous volunteerism of Highland families, the PA is able to offer our students and families a wide range of services and programs that are unique to the Highland experience.

Highland parents are automatically members of the PA and pay no dues while their child(ren) attend Highland. The Parent Association Board meets monthly and is comprised of an Executive Committee (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer), as well as Parent Representatives for each grade, and a Highland School faculty representative.  Highland’s PA works diligently to enhance communication between parents, administration, faculty, staff and Highland's Board of Trustees.

Get involved

Highland parents are very involved in the life of the school. A small contribution of your time and energy can make a significant difference in the educational experience our children enjoy. Many of our opportunities have flexible time commitments, and we happily work with parents to find the best volunteer opportunity that works with their schedule. We encourage you to make the most of what Highland has to offer your family by volunteering in a way that suits your schedule and interests.
