What to Expect When Attending an Open House

Whether you're exploring options for your preschooler, considering a change for your high school student, or any grade in between, our Open House events provide a comprehensive look at how we inspire a lifelong love of learning in every student. We believe in nurturing each child's potential, from their very first steps in our PK-2 program all the way through to graduation.

Pre-K Program: Pre-K2-Pre-K4 (A child must turn two years old on or before Sept 1st to join Highland School in our 2s program).

Lower School: Kindergarten - 4th Grade

Middle School: 5th grade - 8th Grade

Upper School: 9th Grade - 12th Grade

When you attend an Open House at Highland School, you'll have the chance to tour the division of your choice and learn about our rigorous academic programs. You'll have the opportunity to see our student-centered classrooms and learn how our programs are fostered in our mission to cultivate students to thrive, lead, and serve in a diverse and dynamic world.

Learn about our divisional-specific programming, including project approach and responsive classroom in our Lower School, growth mindset and executive functioning skills in Middle School, as well as certificate programs and honors/AP offerings in the Upper School.

Step into our spaces that make Highland unique, including our Outdoor Classroom in our Lower School, engaging Science Labs in our Middle School, and The Rice Theater, a state-of-the-art theater in our Upper School.

We can't wait to welcome you to our campus and share our school with you.

For Students and Families from Pre-Kindergarten 2 to Grade 12

Interested in learning more about Highland School? Our open houses are a great opportunity to tour our divisions, meet our faculty, engage with our admission team, and see for yourself what sets Highland – and our students – apart.

Who should attend?

These open house events on our campus are the perfect opportunity for new students to the area, younger students looking to transition from Pre-Kindergarten to our Lower School or elementary school to our Middle School. This event is also popular with eighth-graders in other area Kindergarten to Grade 8 independent schools who may be considering our Upper School.
Indexed Tuition & Scholarship Opportunities

Our admission team will be on hand to answer any questions and to discuss the ability to customize the cost of your student's education through our new Indexed Tuition program and scholarship opportunities as well. This year, more than 50% of our students will receive some kind of tuition assistance – in the form of merit-based scholarships or financial aid.
