ATHLETIC FACILITIES

Highland School is proud to offer our students the best athletic facilities offered in the Delaney Athletic Conference and some of the best in the state of Virginia.

Top-quality outdoor facilities

Highland's outdoor facilities currently include a full-sized artificial turf field for our Upper School and Middle School soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey programs. We also offer dedicated softball and baseball diamonds, a top-quality tennis complex, and two bermuda fields for training and competition.

Two indoor gymnasiums

Highland's two gymnasium spaces are home to our boys' and girls' basketball and girls volleyball programs. These spaces are also used for training and practice during inclement weather.

The Upper School gym floor is newly refinished and boasts a collegiate-quality surface. The gym has retractable bleachers that can accommodate separate seating for home and visiting spectators and supporters. Boys and Girls' locker rooms are available for home and visiting teams.

The Middle School gym serves as a variety of functions throughout the day. Lower School physical education classes use the space throughout the day and Middle School sports teams train and compete in the space in the afternoons. Additionally, Upper School and Middle School teams use the Arundel gym for training during inclement weather.
