Rich Gerhardt '16

Rich Gerhardt '16 is a Senior Associate at KPS Capital Partners, one of the world’s leading private equity firms, where he specializes in making controlling equity investments in global manufacturing and industrial companies across a diverse array of industries. Prior to joining KPS, Rich worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank Securities from 2020 to 2022, focusing on advising private equity firms on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.

Rich graduated from Wake Forest University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Spanish Language and Literature. As a Highland School "lifer," he began his education at Highland as a kindergartener and graduated as Salutatorian of the Class of 2016. During his time at Highland, Rich was a member of the state champion tennis (2014) and soccer (2015) teams, served on the Prefect Board, and was actively involved in fine arts programs, performing in several school musicals.    

Rich is from Catlett, Virginia, and currently resides in New York, NY.
