Sara Maoury

Sara Maoury is honored to serve as the newest Parents Association President.  A dedicated member of the Highland School community since her son began kindergarten, Sara is passionate about fostering a welcoming and highly engaged environment for all Highland families.

 

Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in pediatric nutrition and worked as a pediatric nutritionist prior to starting her family.  This professional background made her a natural fit for her previous volunteer role, where she spent five years serving as the Chair of the student lunch program.  Under her guidance, the program did more than just provide daily meals; it flourished into a vital fundraising initiative that continues to generate significant financial support for both the Parents Association and the school.  Through this position, she worked closely with students, faculty, and parent volunteers, gaining invaluable on-campus experience. She also served two years as Vice President in the Parents Association and two years as Secretary.

 

Outside of her volunteer work, Sara enjoys traveling, watching Formula One racing, and snowboarding.  She and her husband, Dr. Demetrius Maoury—who also proudly serves the community—are the parents of Simon, an 8th grader at Highland.
