Applying to Highland is simpler than you might think

Choosing a school is a big decision. Applying to one shouldn't add to the stress. At Highland, we've worked hard to make the process clear, personal, and welcoming from your very first question to the day your child walks through our doors.

Wherever your family is in the journey, just starting to explore, or ready to apply today, we're here to guide you every step of the way. This page walks you through exactly how it works, what we'll need, and when you'll hear back.

How to apply, step by step

Here's the whole process at a glance. It's straightforward, and our admission team is ready to help at any point along the way.

1. Inquire or visit

Start by telling us a little about your family, or come see Highland for yourself. A campus visit or Open House is the best way to get a feel for our community and picture your child here.

2. Submit your application

When you're ready, complete our application online. It's the official first step toward enrollment and lets us begin getting to know your student.

3. Send your records

We'll ask for a few supporting materials, such as recent academic records and teacher recommendations. These help us understand your child's strengths and how we can best support them.

4. Schedule a student visit or interview

Your child will spend a little time with us. A personal visit or interview helps both sides see whether Highland is the right fit. It's also a chance for your student to meet teachers and feel the warmth of our community.

5. Receive your decision

Once your application is complete, we'll review it carefully and send you a decision. We aim to make the process transparent so you always know where things stand.

6. Enroll and join the community

When you accept your spot, you'll sign your enrollment contract and officially become part of the Highland family. From there, we'll help you prepare for a wonderful first day.

Key dates for the 2025/2026 application cycle:

A quick takeaway: applying early gives your family the most options, since many grade levels fill after the first round.

• Friday, January 31: First-round application deadline.

• Before Friday, March 14: First-round admission decisions mailed.

• Monday, March 31: Enrollment contract deadline for new students.

• Through August: Rolling admissions for any remaining openings.

How rolling admissions works

After our first-round deadline passes, Highland moves to rolling admissions for grades that still have space.

In practice, that means you can apply and enroll any time leading up to the start of the school year. Just keep in mind that popular grade levels often fill following first-round acceptances. If Highland is on your list, the sooner you apply, the better your chances of securing a spot.
