The Hazel Family Lower School
Opened in 2010, The Hazel Family Lower School is a contemporary, LEED certified building where bright colors, natural lighting and numerous “green” features abound. The Lower School is home to students in Kindergarten through Grade 4 and offers dedicated space for our Early Childhood programs for Pre-K 2/3, Pre-K 3/4, and Pre-K 4/5. READ MORE
The Middle School
Completely renovated in 2012, Highland's Middle School is home to students in Grades 5 through 8. Built around the Loeb Library and the Johnson Academic Media Center, the Middle School is bustling as students navigate their classes, their lockers, and their peer groups – all while learning to manage the freedom and responsibilities afforded them as they prepare for the transition to Upper School. Located in the Middle School, the Arundel Gym serves a variety of functions. During the day, it is home to Lower School physical education classes and indoor recess time. Middle School students eat lunch in here and class plays are rehearsed and performed here. It is also used for practices and games for our sports teams.
The Upper School originally opened in 1997 when Highland School expanded to include Grades 9 to 12. Thanks to challenging academics in a supportive environment, a strong and successful athletics program, and an arts program that is second-to-none, our Upper School is growing as students from around the region look for the best preparation for college and beyond. The Upper School Gym
Our athletic facilities are the envy of our Delaney Athletic Conference (DAC) competitors. With the Upper School Gym at the core, we offer our athletes and coaches first-rate indoor facilities for training, practice, and competition.
