College Application and Essay

Session 1 
June 9-13, 2019
Rising 12th Graders 

Would you like to have finished your college essay and application before school begins? Using the online Common Application, students will complete the application and the Common App essay. Through the analysis of actual college essays and individual feedback, students will be guided through the process of crafting unique and effective writing for their applications. Now in their seventh year of providing this popular five-day workshop, Mrs. Norden and Ms. Campbell bring experience and expertise to the college application process. This workshop is geared to rising seniors from all area high schools.

Highland Elite Basketball Camp
June 17-21, 2019
Rising 7th to 9th Graders 

Coach Hooker and the Highland Boys Basketball Program will be hosting a fun and competitive week of basketball for rising 7th, 8th and 9th grade boys and girls. The emphasis of this camp is to improve your individual skill set as well as develop a better understanding of team basketball. After this week, campers will be one step closer to being ready for high school basketball!

 

Featured Creative Arts Camps

Create a Graphic Novel
July 8–July 12, 2019
Rising 4th-8th Graders 

Let's rewrite history or predict the future! Let's be creative! This class is designed with end goal of creating a graphic novel. This is a creative class where students will be asked to create a story and illustrations and then transfer all of those ideas and illustrations to the computer. We will be using InDesign to format the books and send them off to be professionally printed.

Featured Adventure Camp

A Journey Through Time
July 22-26, 2019
Rising 3rd-8th Graders 

Travel! Pioneer! Explore! Are you ready to jump through time and space and explore history through a unique lens? In this Time Travel camp week, we will build our own time machines and experience what life was like in the past and predict what it might be like in the future!  Each day, campers will "travel" to different time periods in history, learn how to follow ancient maps and reenact historical events, while participating in games and sports from across the centuries.
