Glue, Paint & Glitter

Use Play Doh, glue, paint, glitter, and all kinds of other supplies to create anything you can imagine! Dive into imaginative stories, hear music that will get your toes tapping, play outside and just have a fun time being creative!

Under the Sea - No Longer Available

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Hold your breath as our classroom transforms into the ocean floor!  We will use projects, songs, books, and our imaginations to learn about life under the sea.  Come dive into our swimmingly fun ocean adventure!

Rainforest Adventure - No Longer Available

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Discover the beauty and mystery of the rainforest.  Learn about the people and animals who call the rainforest home.  The monkeys, birds, butterflies, army ants, snakes and frogs will slither and fly their way through the rainforest.  Learn about the foods, medicines and other valuable resources the rainforest supplies us.  Create your own rainforest in a jar—and shake your rainstick to keep it wet.  At week’s end, campers will build a unique stuffed animal of their own with members of a traveling animal workshop.

Castles and Kings—Bringing Fairytales to Life!

Ages: 6-8
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Explore favorite fairytales through unique and exciting arts and crafts.  Projects will include painting, mask making and a variety of other hands-on activities designed to bring out the imagination in everyone!

Woodworking for Kids
Instructor: M. Daniel-Shenk
Ages: 6-8
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $155 (9-1) & $125 (1-4)

Join us for a week of creating wooden masterpieces.  Campers will sand, assemble and decorate a variety of wood projects including race cars, bird feeders and bird houses. “Wooden” you like to join us?

Harry Potter Magic Ceramics - No Longer Available
Instructor: M. Corcoran
Ages: 9-12
Time: 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $210

Camp includes 16 pieces of greenware.  Students will smooth the edges and even the bottoms of all pieces.  The pieces will be fired overnight.  The rest of the week will be spent underglazing, glazing and staining pieces.

Discovering Digital Photography
Instructor: M. Curtis
Ages: 9-18
Time: 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $155

Explore the world of digital photography.  Campers will learn how to take great photos with digital cameras then use Adobe Photoshop to turn them into amazing pieces of art.  Students will need to bring their own camera.

Plein Air Painting - No Longer Available
Instructor: K. Stinnett
Ages: 13-18
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $140

We will be going outside each day to paint landscapes. Using watercolor, pastel and drawing media we will learn about painting landscapes by studying light and shadow, atmospheric perspective and composition.  If the weather is bad, we will look out the windows at the mountains from the art room.  Bring a watercolor pad or block and a set of watercolors.  Other materials provided.
