John M. Ramey, Jr. (*51) is retired and lives in Warrenton, VA.

Rice Smith Flanders (*58) loves being a Grandmother.  Her daughter Alexa continues to work as a public defender in Brooklyn, NY.

Darnell Hazel Abbott (*76) lives outside of Richmond, VA with her husband and daughter.

Alec P. Burnett (*78) and his wife now live in Hawaii where he continues to work in the food industry. They have two daughters, and are expecting a third child this summer. They welcome all visitors who make it that far..

Alan (Tee) Day (*78) enjoys having a son at Highland.  Tee and his wife live in Marshall, VA and are currently busy building their own home.

Caroline Woodward Church (*79)  and her husband Chris Parrish (*62) are busy renovating houses in Little Washington, VA.

Laurel Grey Harry (*80) and her family are currently living outside of San Jose, Costa Rica.  They still have their place in South Boston, VA, but only get back to the States on holidays or summer vacation as both of her children are now in school in Costa Rica. She writes that her sister, Carla Gray Nelms (*78) is residing in Midlothian, VA and is friends with Former Headmaster Sandy Dearborn’s son.

Shack Tiffany (*80) lives in Hartford, CT where he has 3 children.  Shack writes that he will be in town later this summer for a week and would love to see some fellow Highland alums.

Tammy Wilkes Ellerbe (*80) lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband Cokey and their dog Sumter. She is a Vice President with Mortgage Ramp Investments in Atlanta, GA.

Kate Bartenstein Galusza (*81) lives in Concord, MA and has three children; Austin, Hayden, and Charlotte.  Kate was down visiting her sister the weekend of May 18th and ran into many fellow alums at the Spring Festival held on Main Street in Warrenton.  She was thrilled to see Mrs. Wilkes, but is sad to know that she will be retiring from the school at the end of this academic year.

Congratulations to Jessica Jones (*81) who gave birth to a baby girl on April 24, 2007.  Her daughter is Catherine Ann Foos, and is being called Kit. 

Mary North Church Cooper (*81) lives in Warrenton, VA and works for Highland School. She is married to Rex Cooper ('79), and they have two children, North and Emily.

Kristine Young Rich (*81) and her husband live in Centreville, VA.  Kristine is very active with her daughter and step-children and keeps remains in constant contact with Kate Bartenstein Galusza. 

Susan Wilkes McCollough (*82) is a very happy mom living in New York, NY.  Susan and Ian just celebrated their daughter's Cats' first birthday this past April.

Michele Matrick Hipp (*82) stays quite busy with two young children and her volunteer work.

Rawls Tiffany (*83) lives in Brooklyn, CT and is the proud father of two children.

Morey Oare (*85) and his wife Jaime have joined the legacy club of Highland alums who now have children attending the school.  It was great to see Riley join PK this past fall.

Anne Seilheimer Prentise (*87) and her family have recently relocated to Geneva, Switzerland where her husband Josh will work for JP Morgan.

Melanie Bartenstein Lillard (’88) welcomed her second child Weston Lillard this past February.  She loves being the mom of two kids, but misses the kids that she used to teach at Highland.  Melanie and her family live in Warrenton, VA.

Tiffany E. Kelsey (*89) of Warrenton has received a doctorate of philosophy in counseling psychology from the University of Tennessee. She completed her internship at George Washington University Counseling Center. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology magna cum laude from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA in 1997. Dr Kelsey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Kelsey of Warrenton. She is living in Arlington, VA and plans to work toward licensure as a psychologist.

Nathan Gilbert (*91) recently got married this past December.  Erik Wachtmeister (*91) was a groomsman.  They live in Arlington, VA and he commutes to Warrenton where he works in the Personal Wealth division of Fauquier Bank.

Max Tufts (1998) recently married Jean-Marie Schalestock (sister of Shannon Schalestock 2005), and they currently live in Florida where Max is finishing up his aerospace training.

Alexander Strange (*99) recently graduated from UVA where he lived with Chilton Griffin (*99), and will spend the next few months travelling with friends..

Clarissa Fischer Fleming (1998) married Rusty Fleming on May 19, 2001and they recently moved to Culpeper, VA.  Sister Heather Fischer (2004) stops by Highland to keep us updated, and gushes about her niece.  Heather has recently finished her junior year at UVA, and will spend the summer working locally before returning to UVA in the fall for her senior year.

J. Reynolds Oare (2000) is currently earning his MA in sports management from VCU, and is engaged to be married later this summer.

Tyler "Cole" Cushman (2003) earned Dean's List Honors for the fall 2006 semester at Lynchburg College.  Dean's List requires a grade point average of a 3.5 to a 4.0.  Cole is a senior communication studies major at Lynchburg.

Congratulations to Chilton Griffin (2003) who recently graduated from UVA, and will be working for HITT LLC in the project management division starting later this summer.

Lily Strange (2001) recently earned her MA from James Madison University.

Megan Keyser (2006) and McClain Bell (2006) are both happily home for the summer from JMU and Clemson University.  They are both working this summer at Airlie Conference Center.  McClain had a great time playing club lacrosse this past year at Clemson.
