Open Houses
Open Houses offer prospective parents and students the opportunity to meet students, faculty, key administrators and the Head of School; learn about our academic and extracurricular programs; take a student-led tour of campus; and most importantly, get a feel for our school and an understanding of our mission.

Admission Testing
Please contact the Admission Office to schedule testing. If you cannot make one of the dates listed below, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

Applicants for PK 4/5 and K will be administered the Gesell Screening at Highland Monday, February 2, 2009 through Friday, February 6, 2009.  No weekend testing is available.

Applicants for Grades 1 - 5 will be administered STAR testing during their half-day visit.
 
Applicants for Grades 6 -12 are required to submit Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) scores. Highland will administer the SSAT on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 9 a.m. to applicants only. Highland’s school code is 3874. (Snow date: Saturday, January 24, 2009)

Applicants for Grades 11 -12 may submit PSAT or SAT scores instead of SSAT scores.

Observation and Half-Day Visits
Please contact the Admission Office to schedule an observation or half-day visit. If you cannot make one of the dates listed below, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

Applicants for PK 4/5 and K are required to attend a group observation on Saturday, February 7, 2009.
(Snow date: Saturday, February 14, 2009)

Applicants for Grades 1 -12 are required to complete a half-day visit. Visits begin at 8 a.m. and conclude around noon. During the visit, applicants will shadow a current student, attend classes, complete admission testing (Grades 1-5), and complete an admission interview and writing sample (Grades 6-12). Applicants do not need to submit an application prior to the half-day visit.

Revisit Day
Accepted students are invited to return to campus on Thursday, March 26, 2009 to visit with administrators, faculty, students and parents prior to submitting the enrollment contract on Friday, April 3, 2009. Revisit day is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with the Highland community, have last minute questions answered and meet future classmates and their parents.
