Meet The Nurse

Rosemary Saunders, RN
School Nurse
rsaunders@highlandschool.org

"Nurse Rosie" (as she is fondly known at Highland School) has been a nurse for 26 years. She has worked in a Hospital on the Medical Floor, Surgical Floor, Pediatrics, ICU, CCU and Emergency. She has also worked in physician offices of Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Urology, and has been in charge of Alzheimer Units and Skilled Nursing Care Units. Eight years ago, she decided to become a school nurse, and never looked back. "With all my years of different experiences, the most rewarding is working with ALL of our students at ALL the different levels and ages" she says. Besides Nursing, she was the dance coach for six years. During her time as head coach, we were able to bring home a 3rd place DAC trophy and 2 First Place trophies. She shared DAC coach of the year with Angelique Brown (cheer coach at the time), and in 2008 was named DAC Dance Coach of the year. She was the assistant coach in girls' soccer in the year 2006, when we won our first state championship.
