Beyond Academics

Learning, No Boundaries
Student Activities
Clubs and activities enrich student life and offer opportunities for character development. They help foster an understanding of the world and bring together students of different age levels, backgrounds, and interests, as well as expose students to activities not normally within their reach.
Highland School offers excellent opportunities for students to enrich their experience outside of the classroom. Student participation is high and students generate activities based on their own areas of interest, contingent on approval by the Dean of Students. In the Upper School, club periods are scheduled twice a week for 15 minutes each; in the Middle School, clubs meet during lunch. Taking part in these activities also helps students build lasting relationships with Highland faculty, which can be a key ingredient to their life as Highland students.
