Middle School: Homeroom & Advisory

The Homeroom and Advisory program supports and expands upon the academic, social, and emotional horizons of each child. Close, trusting relationships, a safe and welcoming environment, and character development are at the heart of homeroom and advisory. The purpose of the advisor is to provide a liaison for parents and students to the school community. Advisors act as an advisee's advocate and mentor. The advisor-advisee relationship creates a natural rapport, and students feel comfortable and confident seeking out adult guidance and support on both academic and personal issues. Advisors meet daily with their advisories and connect with advisees weekly throughout the school year to touch base about academic and personal progress.
